Background
I recently started as an Assistant Research Biologist at Archbold Biological Station, serving as the primary investigator for avian research and monitoring programs at the Avon Park Air Force Range. I am also a Research Affiliate at the Illinois Natural History Survey and still working on postdoctoral research as part of the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. My primary research interests are in ornithology and evolutionary ecology, where I commonly examine associations among traits, performance, and fitness across songbird species. I also have broader interest in avian conservation and management. Prior to joining Archbold, I completed my undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University, masters and PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and postdocs at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center.
